I’m officially (almost) signed up for the Carlsbad 1/2 marathon on January 22. After Nike Women’s in October, I told myself I was going to take the rest of the year off to strengthen and rehab my knee/hips/IT band and get them all in better shape before starting the training season for Rock n Roll San Diego (I want revenge on that course!) at the end of January 2012. Obviously that’s not going to happen because Carlsbad 1/2 is before season starts for RnR!
Instead of taking December and January off, I’m starting slowily (as of Saturday), to get at least some mileage in before Carlsbad. So I’m heading into that new race partially untrained and completely unprepared.
